E.O.G. Test Training

Kim and I will be in a testing meeting all day Monday, April 19th. Please mark your calendars for EOG test training April 27th & 29th @ 7:30 a.m. Please be on time. We will begin promptly @ 7:30. If you are testing a modification group, you will have an additional training on Tues. May 4th @ 7:30 a.m. Proctors we will train Monday, May 3rd @ 9:00. If you are a specialist and an proctor we will train Monday, may 3rd @ 3:30.

C.C. Meeting

Kim and I will be out of the building Thursday, April 22nd for our monthly CC meeting.

Effort Contracts

Teachers, thank you for helping with getting students to sign the effort contracts. Please take time to display their contracts somewhere in the hallway. I will also begin working with the groups that we discussed in our meeting. This week we will meet on Tues. due to me being out of the building on Monday. We will meet on the stage during each grade level special. Please send these students with a hall pass (PBS). Thanks, let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

EOG 20 Day Count Down

Thank you for working with students on the 20 day count down. Hopefully this will give them that extra little push. Mr. Torian and his news crew will read each day over morning announcements so please tune in!

Entering Writing Scores (4th gr)

We can begin entering writing scores in the moodule Wednesday, April 21st. You may stop by during your special if that time works for you. If you get me a spreadsheet with your student info. I will begin entering scores.

Calendar Committee

Please make plans to meet on Wednesday April 28th @ 3:30 to work on the skills calendar for next school year if you are a part of this committee.

K-Screening

Kim and I will be in the gym all day Tues. & Wed. helping out with K-Screening. This will also involve kinder teachers, Ms. Bland & McCotter, Winn, & Sanchez. Maybe a few more.

Writing Test make-ups

Waiting on new prompts to arrive. Should get here tomorrow so I will pull those students to give them their test. (Only 4 students)

Weekly Assessments

You NO LONGER need to turn in your weekly assessment sheet. Thanks to all of you who did. Looking at the info. together was very beneficial to us with identifying areas of remediation.

Data Meetings

Last week was our last data meeting. Lots of information was shared and I really enjoyed the many different conversations we had. Thanks for sharing all of your ideas.

Classroom Activities

Thank you to Mrs. West & Ms. Jones for inviting me to watch their students play Jeopardy. Lots of fun to watch and the kids REALLY enjoyed it. Great job ladies!!

EOQ Testing

The testing planning should be e-mailed to you tomorrow. Please check over the modifications list and let me know if you have a student that has been left off. We have had several students to enroll over the past few weeks and we want to make sure everyone that is suppose to receive modifications do so. Let me know if you have any questions/concerns about EOQ testing.

Third Grade Tutoring

Thanks third grade teachers for giving me the opportunity to work with your students. Due to the preparation for EOQ testing and EOG testing in April, I will no longer be able to meet with the students. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity.

Blue Diamond

Please make sure you have added any new students that you have received since the last EOQ test to Blue Diamond. If you need help doing so, please let me know and I will put directions in your box. If you do not add your students they will not receive a score. You will also have to fill out their answer sheet and bubble their information as well.

Happy Monday

Good Morning everyone. First, I would like to take a minute to apologize for not having the blog updated last week. I was locked out of the website but things are back to normal now.

504 Student Updates

As I mentioned at the meeting, April 1st is the deadline to write a new 504. If you know of students that are in need of one, please don't wait. I am also in the process of updating paperwork for students that already have one.

Access Testing

Access Testing is coming to an end. Thanks for all of your patients with this testing process.

Planning Days

Planning day proposals have been written and submitted. I will let you know when they are approved and you may register on line.

4th Gr. Content Writing

Remember to have your writing completed by Friday, March 12. We are scheduled to enter scores the following week.

I am in the process of updating student 504 plans. Please make yourself aware of any student with a 504 in your classroom.

Black History Committee

A BIG thank you to ALL of the members of the Black History Committee and anyone else that helped out with the program. The students did a great job and parent turn out was amazing. Everyone enjoyed the performance. Thanks again.

Kindergarten Registration

Kim & I will be involved with kindergarten registration ALL DAY Thursday, Feb. 25th & Monday, March 1st. We will be located in the lobby in front of the office.

Black History Program

Thank you to ALL that has helped with pulling this program together. The students have been working really hard and I think you are in for a treat. There will be a school performance on Thursday Feb. 18th. (K-2: 9:00-9:45/4-5: 10:00-10:45). The program will be Thursday night @ 6:30. Please send the information home with students tomorrow.
